Why

Kappas?

Home away from home

While college is an exciting time for many of us to experience our first taste of life away from home, it can get overwhelming. Come find your second family in Kappas! Not only do our sisters share a commitment to creating a warm and supportive environemnt, but we also strive to empower our members, preparing them for success after graduation. Our sisterhood isn't limited to just NYU, you'll have endless opportunities to network at other chapters across the nation and create lifelong memories!

Sisters for life

With NYU's lack of campus and NYC's bustling nature, it's hard to develop lasting relationships inbetween running around for classes, internships, and work. That's why Kappas is the perfect place to form these lifelong bonds. We are dedicated to making time for one another – whether that be at semesterly sisterhood retreats or through events with other organizations on campus. Kappas' sisterhood doesn't end after graduation, our sisters are often each other's roommates, co-workers, and even bridesmaids!

Work Hard, Play Hard

Social life tends to be a large part of Greek life, but there's so much more to Kappas than just having fun hanging out. Our organization strives for academic excellence as we were founded with the vision of being a culturally sound and educationally inspiring community. Many of our sisters have discovered new passions and career paths through the guidance of older members and alumnae! Additionally, we are proud to represent our Associate Chapter on the national Phoenix's List for Academic Excellence each semester. Kappas is a valuable resource as you pursue your academic and professional goals in college and beyond!

A message from our president

Welcome to the Epsilon Associate Chapter of the Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorporated!

Take a look around our site to get a glimpse into our little family and all the lovely ladies I am so incredibly privileged to call my sisters.

ince chartering in 1998 and rechartering in 2016 at New York University, our Associate Chapter has been dedicated to educating and empowering women, serving our community, and culturally enriching our campus. Being an organization located in NYC, we are lucky to do all three while having fun and bonding with each another. When I stumbled upon Kappa Phi Lambda during my freshman year, I unexpectedly found a second home with the most loving and supportive friends I now hold so dear to me. The experiences I have gained are truly one of a kind, and I am incredibly thankful for the fun, inspiring, and kind energy of the women surrounding me, as well as the countless opportunities for leadership and self-growth. Being a part of this sisterhood, I find new reasons every day to be grateful for Kappas, whether it be through our sisterhood retreats or simply seeing our work hard play hard sisters working towards their personal goals. Being surrounded by these people continues to motivate me to become a more empathetic, professional, and stronger version of myself.

I hope that by browsing our site you can learn a little bit more about our organization and what it means to be a sister of Kappa Phi Lambda. Whether you are one of our beloved alumnae, a student looking to join Greek life on campus, or a family member/friend of one of our precious sisters, we deeply appreciate your interest and support of our Associate Chapter. I look forward to watching this sisterhood grow even closer amongst both our active members as well as our alumnae. I envision a great future for Kappas where we can continue to flourish and make a bigger impact on campus. We hope that you will be able to join us on this wonderful journey! ♡

Sincerely,

Ashley Luo *volucite*
